The Forum’s mission is to improve water quality and water conservation through networking, collaboration, education and action in the Shenandoah River watershed.

Warm Season Grass at MerckThe Pure Water Forum serves as sounding board for new and innovative stewardship projects, research, and education initiatives dedicated to the restoration and protection of the Shenandoah River and its tributaries.

One of the Forum’s primary objectives is to provide support to our partner organizations. This includes awarding small grants to non profit partners, convening our annual meeting to encourage networking and expand understanding of environmental issues facing the Shenandoah watershed, and bringing together conservation partners for quarterly board meetings.
